After two nights of temperatures in the teens, I checked my greenhouse, which is unheated, expecting a complete wilt-down of the hardy vegetables inside.
But everything looked unfazed by the cold. I harvested all the turnips but left the beets for now. The mustard greens were still holding their leaves high, but I pulled some to make room for a few daffodil bulbs that I should have planted a week or so ago.
This is the time of year when the temperature drops rapidly, so we procrastinators need to make any remaining outdoor projects a priority.
