It is ironic that same-sex marriage would not be getting much support if it was not for heterosexual people who try to justify sex outside of marriage.
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the Gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their heart; who being past feeling gave themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. — Ephesians 4:17-19 (American Standard Version)
The secular view seems to claim that mankind is all-powerful and wise but at the same time is totally unable to control its sexual urges. Unfortunately, history shows cases where people who lived like cattle eventually came to be treated that way–as herd animals.
“And why do you call me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Every one that cometh unto me, and heareth my words, and doeth them, I will show you to whom he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation upon the rock: and when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it: because it had been well built.” — Luke 6:46-48 (American Standard Version)
Christ’s words, combined with faith and a determination to honor God, lead to good character and well-earned self-respect. They form a path to the really good life that is open to all people.
Let all those that seek thee
rejoice and be glad in thee;
Let such as love thy salvation say continually,
“Jehovah be magnified!” — Psalm 40:16 (American Standard Version)
