Before there was a town named Twin Falls, Idaho, there was a waterfall on the Snake River named Twin Falls. This is it. Note on the right side of the photo is what appears to be a channel in the rock and above it, a concrete dam. This was the second falls that made the twin of the one to the left. Twin Falls is upstream of its bigger and more visited relative, Shoshone Falls. The City of Twin Falls still uses an old pre-dam depiction of the Twin Falls on its town seal.
