This bridge carried rail traffic over the Snake River upstream from Walters Ferry, Idaho. The rail line was built to carry ore from the Silver City mines to the Union Pacific main line at Nampa. After the rails were taken up in the late 1940s, back country motorists used the bridge as a rather bumpy crossing over the river. The bridge still exists today and serves as a walking bridge for Canyon County’s Celebration Park.
