Saturday February 16It’s an Oregon Asian Celebration at the Lane County Fairgrounds in Eugene with food, art, martial arts demonstrations and more. $6 admission, children 12 and under are admitted free. 10 AM to 7 PM today, 10 AM to 6 PM on Sunday.

Lenten Lunches every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM at St. Michael’s Cathedral 512 N. 8th Street in Boise. February 15 to March 22. $6 for clam chowder or soup, salad or slaw, cheese bread and beverage

Sunday February 17 The Moon is ending its first quarter. It is waxing. Planting by the Moon: during the Moon’s second quarter, plant vegetables in which the seeds can be eaten: beans, tomatoes, peppers and squash. Free admission today at the Museum of Idaho, Idaho Falls. 9 AM to 8 PM.

Tuesday February 19 The Museum of Idaho in Idaho Falls hosts “Carousels: Art and History in Motion” through May 27. Most “Preppers” are not crazy people who want to fight the government or something. They are just people who have decided to try to have a plan in case there is a big storm or the power is off or the grocery stores are closed or even if the only disaster is that they are short on money.
