I was pleased to see that moving the date of Idaho’s Republican Party primary to early March paid off this Tuesday. Idaho voters’ support for Sen. Cruz came at an opportune time, reminding everyone that some Republicans are wary of boarding the Donald Trump Express.

Regardless of the outcome at the convention, it was good for western voters to have a say in the candidate selection process before the nomination is sewed up.
