Train Depot at Boise, Idaho

View along the tracks looking east at the train station in Boise.┬áThe station was built in 1925. Partially visible in this photo is “Big Mike,” a steam locomotive that is displayed at the depot. Mike gets its name from the fact that it is one of the Mikado class of locomotives. Steam locomotives were phased out on the Union Pacific in 1954.
